CIMAM gives full support to our colleagues in Turkey and Syria, who are suffering the severe consequences of the earthquake.

Below is the list of resources of different humanitarian aid platforms. The information has been provided and contrasted with CIMAM members in the region.

Two major earthquakes and several aftershocks have devastated the southeast region of Turkey and Syria, ending the lives of more than 21,500 people and affecting approximately 13 million others. As the search mission continues for surviving individuals and their companion animals, winter conditions impede the rescuers' work and aggravate the situation of countless people who lost their homes.

Upon Turkey's declaration of national mourning and a Level-4 alert, many of our partners and colleagues abroad have been kindly asking us how to help. You could consider donating to the government organization AFAD and credible NGOs currently operating in the region. Their information and respective account details are listed below:

Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği) is an NGO working in coordination with its branches and non-governmental organizations to provide support to disaster-stricken students and their families who live in the earthquake zones.
