Join CIMAM for the 2026-28 term
In an increasingly complex cultural landscape, museums are navigating significant and evolving challenges, from governance and ethical responsibility to sustainability, public relevance, and institutional autonomy. At such a moment, professional exchange and collective reflection are not peripheral activities; they are central to the future of museum practice.
Museums and museum professionals are not isolated entities; they are part of a global ecosystem shaped by exchange, collaboration, and shared responsibility. CIMAM exists to sustain and strengthen that ecosystem as the only global community dedicated exclusively to professionals working in modern and contemporary art museums and collections.
Today, CIMAM connects 1,122 directors, curators, and museum leaders across 94 countries, forming a trusted international platform where critical debate, shared knowledge, and professional support are cultivated year-round.
