Call for Spanish curators to take part in the CIMAM 2022 Travel Grant Program

CIMAM 2021 Annual Conference hosted by the Muzeum Sztuki in Lodz and the NOMUS New Art Museum/Branch of the National Museum in Gdansk, Poland.

CIMAM will award approximately 10 Travel Grants to Spanish museum professionals to attend the CIMAM 2022 Annual Conference entitled The Attentive Museum. Permeable Practices for a Common Ground, to be held in Mallorca, Spain, November 11-13, 2022 hosted by Es Baluard Museu d'Art Contemporani de Palma.

The call is aimed at curators and directors of modern and contemporary art museums as well as independent curators of modern and contemporary art who are not affiliated with a museum or institution, and reside in Spain or hold a Spanish passport.

Applicants should not be involved in any kind of commercial or for-profit activity.

Professionals who meet the profile described above are eligible to apply, with priority given to directors and new curators (with less than ten years of experience).

Read carefully the list of eligible countries and criteria before submitting your application:

  • It is estimated that 5 grants will be awarded to Spanish independent curators and modern and contemporary art professionals not affiliated with any museum or institution and residing in Spain or holding a Spanish passport. These grants are made possible thanks to the support of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E).

  • And another 5 grants to Spanish directors, curators, and professionals of modern and contemporary art museums residing in Spain.
