Kunstmuseum Den Haag oversees a diverse collection of more than 170,000 artworks and cultural objects gathered by and for the city of The Hague. The museum holds the world’s largest collection of Mondrian works, alongside significant holdings of Delft Blue and Islamic ceramics, a leading fashion collection, and pioneering contemporary art.

Adopting a polyvocal and self-critical approach, the museum collaborates with partners locally, nationally, and internationally, while steadily expanding its digital presence. Through a dynamic exhibition programme, it offers new perspectives on the past, present, and future. Its educational initiatives welcome over 40,000 students annually, and it is increasingly developing as a production house for public programming and co-creation, reflecting the diverse communities of The Hague.

Welcoming approximately 400,000 visitors each year, the museum serves a broad audience, from dedicated cultural enthusiasts to first-time visitors. Supported by a team of 150 professionals with varied expertise and backgrounds, it is committed to hospitality, diversity, and equality.

The museum is housed in its iconic building designed by H. P. Berlage, which will celebrate its centenary in 2035. In anticipation of this milestone, Kunstmuseum Den Haag is shaping a new mission and vision aimed at contributing to the city’s international commitment to peace and justice, guided by optimism, polyvocality, and entrepreneurship.
