The CIMAM Outstanding Museum Practice Award recognizes the incredible work being done in museums around the world. It is dedicated to promoting excellence in innovation in modern and contemporary art museums, encouraging public accessibility and exchange, and sustainability within the sector.

Outstanding Museum Practice Award Winners 2025
Recipients of the OMPA 2025 have been the Museo Barda del Desierto (mBDD) (Northern Patagonia, Argentina), the Bergen Kjøtt Foundation (Bergen, Norway), and The Palestinian Museum (Birzeit, Palestine) for their clearly intentioned and impactful practices that reinforce the core values and purposes of museums.

OMPA Nominations received in 2025
Explore the 48 self-nominated museum practices submitted for the fifth edition of the Outstanding Museum Practice Award. The OMPA Steering Committee will announce the awardee(s) on 28 November 2025 at the CIMAM Annual Conference in Turin.
