Bringing together perspectives on community-based memory projects, contemporary artistic practices, and debates around restitution and representation, it examines how museums are challenging inherited narratives and rethinking the role of the archive in shaping both the past and the future.

Bringing together curators and museum directors, it examines the challenges, possibilities, and responsibilities of working within unequal and evolving cultural landscapes.

This session examines how research-led initiatives in museums—such as collection-based approaches, institutional collaborations, fellowships, and interdisciplinary projects—can inform curatorial perspectives, acquisition policies, and the interpretation and presentation of artworks.
