I am Victoria Noorthoorn, Director of the Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, the institution that will be hosting CIMAM’s Annual Conference from November 9-11, 2023. Next year’s Program will include a third day of taylor-made, customized visits for each of the 220 museum professionals attending the Conference. We will invite you to engage with the local artistic community, which is a vibrant artistic scene of fabulous creators working across disciplines, from the visual arts, to theater, dance, film, literature, music, poetry, articulating important conversations.
The artistic scene in Buenos Aires is enormous, and has been so for a long time. So we will invite you to get to know our historical movements, our historical archives, and to get to acquainted with the diverse artistic movements throughout the 20th century and into the present.
For the 2023 Annual Conference we will invite you to book your return ticket a few days later. So you may get further engaged with our very vibrant artistic community, and with all our institutions, and foundations, and museum practitioners.
We will also invite you to get engaged with the different scenes in the country and give you a choice of diverse post-conference tours. There are so many different climates and art scenes in Argentina, and it will be wonderful if you would be able to get engaged with at least some of them. So this is a trip for you to hopefully plan making available a few more days in your calendar, and it will be a huge pleasure to welcome you here in Buenos Aires. The whole scene is already preparing for your visit!
Thank you.
