Valerie Verhack

"In these times of global crisis, CIMAM offers a professional platform that extends beyond national borders, within which the role of art and the position of artists and art initiatives take center stage. By joining CIMAM I want to be part of an international sounding board and network of expertise, knowledge and solidarity to jointly tackle our mutual challenges in the areas of ethics, equality, sustainability and ecology".

Valerie Verhack, Curator & Head of Exhibitions Contemporary Art, M Leuven, Antwerpen, Belgium.

"As an institutional curator affiliated with M Leuven, (the work of) the artist is central to my practice. My interests as a researcher and curator focus on identity, sound, as well as performance in its relationship to film registration. In the projects that I undertake, I find it challenging to work across disciplines and to explore new ways of thinking whether it concerns programming, exhibiting or writing".
