MMCA International Research Fellowship calls for applications
Call for MMCA International Research Fellowship.

Program
The three selected participants conduct their individual scholarly research for four months. At the end of the program, MMCA holds a seminar opened to the public in which they present papers. The participants are paired with advisors who provide intellectual support and guidance throughout the program. They have access to all exhibitions, international conferences, and events of MMCA where they can engage in conversations with museum staffs, artists and intellectuals and discuss about the topics they are focusing on. The fellowship also includes special visits to other museums, gallery shows, biennales, and residencies in Korea.
As part of Cultural Partnership Initiative Project (CPI), MMCA International Research Fellowship is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea. The selected participants will be joining an orientation and other cultural events organized by CPI, where they can meet and communicate with experts and students who have diverse artistic backgrounds. The participants are required to attend Korean language course provided by CPI, which will help them quickly adjust to the local environment and facilitate their study on Korean modern and contemporary art.

Applicants with other citizenship than mentioned above will NOT be considered.
Applications
Applications are accepted by May 3, 6pm KST. Applicants should be aged between 25-45, and the citizens of the countries listed in the link above. Fluency in English is required.

The shortlisted candidates will be notified individually for an interview in mid-May.
Supports
The participants is provided with a round-trip airfare, an individual studio unit inside the university campus, and monthly stipend of 900,000 KRW to cover food, transportation, taxes, utility fees, etc.
