Natasha Sidharta is a woman with a big passion for the arts and its ecosystem. Growing up around a collection of modern art of Indonesia, she now strives to contribute to the ecosystem of art around her. Not only that she collects contemporary art, but she also takes active roles in several initiatives such as sitting on the Board for the Jakarta Biennale, being one of Mori Art Museum’s best friends, advising for various projects and exhibitions. Since 2013, she is involved in IndoArtNow, an archival website that promotes and supports the art scene in Indonesia. Since 2014, she initiated SAM Funds for the Arts and Ecology, a grant-giving foundation that supports artistic research, archival work, experimentation, projects, translation works, and publications. She believes that groundwork research and people’s relationship plays a very important role in nurturing the scene, be it within Indonesia, within Southeast Asia, and internationally.
