Stella Bottai

"I see CIMAM as a platform to amplify my work within the global museum community. As an Italian curator working in London, I bring a unique perspective shaped by cross-cultural experiences and a commitment to bridging artistic narratives across geographies. I am enthusiastic about contributing to CIMAM’s mission while benefiting from its collective expertise to refine my curatorial vision and leadership skills".

Stella Bottai, Senior Curator at Large, Aspen Art Museum, Aspen, USA (based in London, UK).

"Central to my practice is the creation of exhibitions and programs that foster meaningful connections between artworks, audiences, and broader societal contexts. For example, the exhibition In the House of the Trembling Eye: An Exhibition Staged by Allison Katz, which I curated recently at the Aspen Art Museum, demonstrates my commitment to advancing contemporary art as a platform for critical reflection and engagement. This exhibition, which reimagined the physical and conceptual spaces of the museum, highlights the institution’s role as a site of dialogue and experimentation, a principle that resonates deeply with my curatorial ethos.

My work also reflects a commitment to interpreting art in ways that are inclusive and accessible. I have collaborated extensively with international institutions to connect local and global perspectives, ensuring that the stories and themes presented are relevant and engaging across cultural boundaries".
