Frances Morris, Director at Tate Modern, is a member of the CIMAM Board since 2013.

"My experience as Director of Tate Modern has been informed, shaped, and immeasurably enhanced by membership of CIMAM’s board and the friendships, professional relationships, and international networks fostered within a mutually committed group of ambitious and socially conscious Museum directors. It has been a privilege to support the work of the board and to facilitate in hosting inspiring conferences in museums across the world, as well as the webinars during lockdown. I cannot imagine running a museum without this ecosystem which deepens our individual resilience and – significantly – enables us to act effectively as a powerful and influential international body.

Supporting the setting up of – and subsequently chairing – CIMAM’s sustainability working group has been for me a singular priority. Encouraging institutions to recognise climate and ecological emergency and then supporting them, and the sector itself, in mitigation and adaptation is one of the priority issues of our age"

CIMAM welcomes nominations from its voting members to join the active Board of CIMAM (2023–25). Deadline 31 July 2022.
