CIMAM calls for candidates to host its Annual Conference in 2020

The Annual Conference is CIMAM’s most important contribution to the field, a meeting point for active debate on critical issues and an essential resource for the collaboration and cooperation between professionals working in museums of modern and contemporary art.

CIMAM has organized 48 annual conferences in more than 30 different cities since its foundation in 1962. Today, the Annual Conference is attended by over 200 directors and curators of modern and contemporary art museums and collections from over 50 different countries. The Annual Conference consists of a three-day program of keynote and perspective presentations, panel discussions, and workshops as well as visits to the foremost contemporary art institutions, collections and projects in the hosting city.
