Thanks to the support of the Fundación Cisneros / Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros and the Open Society Institute, Budapest, CIMAM awarded 9 grants to support the attendance of professionals from Latin America and the Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia), Central Asia (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan), Mongolia and Turkey to attend CIMAM’s 2009 Annual Conference Fair Trade: The Institution of Art in the New Economy, held in Ciudad de México, 9–10 November 2009.
